Hi, I'm Jennifer.
Your Collected Room is a project I share with my daughter. We love finding interior-design inspiration and figuring out how to recreate it — especially on a budget, with the occasional must-have that's genuinely splurge-worthy. We also enjoy dreaming up spaces that range from totally livable to wildly AI-inspired, and occasionally just funny. We both love crafting and a good book, and this is where all of it comes together.
You saw it on Pinterest. Now how do you actually make it yours? That's the gap we're filling — turning the rooms and corners you've been saving into clear guides, with the exact pieces to recreate the look and the cozy book recommendations to go in it.
Every guide starts with inspiration we love — the rooms you're saving on Pinterest and Instagram — and turns into our favorite finds for recreating them: well-reviewed, fairly priced pieces, mostly on Amazon, that genuinely work in the space. I pull it all together — the design, the shop list, the words, and the pin — so you go from "I love that space" to "I built that space" in an afternoon. Each guide comes with a few of my favorite books that coordinate with the space — middle-grade picks included, often straight from my daughter — because a cozy room is better with a book in it.
My daughter is my in-house tester and unofficial quality control — she puts the kids' and tween picks through their paces and keeps me honest about what an actual child will love (and what they'll ignore). A lot of the middle-grade book recommendations come straight from her.
Book of the week
Right now I'm reading The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman — Four retirees meet weekly to solve cold cases - until a real one lands. Witty, warm, and sharper than it looks.
Each week I feature what's on my nightstand here and in The Collected List newsletter — so if you want to read along, that's where I'll be talking about it.
How affiliate links work here (and when I don't use them)
Your Collected Room is a participant in the Amazon Associates Program. When you click certain links and make a purchase, I may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. Those commissions keep the guides free and fund the next corner.
When I use affiliate links
- Specific product recommendations I'd suggest regardless — chairs, lamps, textiles, etc.
- "Shop the Room" lists and product cards.
- Whenever a purchase directly follows a recommendation.
When I don't use affiliate links
- Inspiration-only images and mood boards with no product to buy.
- DIY and "use what you have" suggestions.
- Links to my own products (like the Cozy Room Starter Checklist) or to other creators' free resources.
- Anything I wouldn't genuinely recommend.
The promise
A commission never changes what I recommend. If a cheaper or better-reviewed option exists, that's the one I link. If I haven't vetted it, I don't link it.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Your Collected Room is not affiliated with Pinterest or Instagram; those are research sources only.
