About

Hi, I'm Jennifer.

Your Collected Room started as a fun summer project — seeing what my daughter could make with AI, and letting her explore how people actually build businesses with it. She gravitated toward the room-decorating side of things, which tracked given her natural eye for design and her love for creating. I knew she was going to need help and guidance along the way, and that's where I stepped in — and found out I genuinely loved it too.

You've seen a room you love on Pinterest. Now how do you actually make it yours? That's the gap Your Collected Room exists to close — turning the corners and spaces you've been saving into real, buildable room pages: the exact pieces to recreate the look, and a few book pairings to go with it, because for us, a room's never quite finished without something good to read in it.

Every room page starts with a room we love, and turns into the pieces that make it real. I gravitate toward Amazon because that's where buying — and returning, when something's not quite right — has always been easy, so that's where I focus on finding pieces that are simple to actually source. I put it all together myself, from the design to the shop list, so you can go from “I love that space” to “I built that space.” My kids weigh in too — they keep me honest about what an actual kid will love (and what they'll ignore), and a lot of the book recommendations come straight from them.

This is still very much a work in progress — more rooms, more stories, more finds. Come back and watch it grow.

One of My Favorites

A book I've loved and wanted to share with you.

A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman — A grumpy old man, a chatty new neighbor, and a heart that cracks right open. The comfort read of comfort reads.

How affiliate links work here (and when I don't use them)

Your Collected Room is a participant in the Amazon Associates Program. When you click certain links and make a purchase, I may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. Those commissions keep this site free and fund the next corner.

When I use affiliate links

  • Specific product recommendations I'd suggest regardless — chairs, lamps, textiles, etc.
  • "Shop the Room" lists and product cards.
  • Whenever a purchase directly follows a recommendation.

When I don't use affiliate links

  • Inspiration-only images and mood boards with no product to buy.
  • DIY and "use what you have" suggestions.
  • Links to my own products (like the Cozy Room Starter Checklist) or to other creators' free resources.
  • Anything I wouldn't genuinely recommend.

The promise

A commission never changes what I recommend. If a cheaper or better-reviewed option exists, that's the one I link. If I haven't vetted it, I don't link it.

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Your Collected Room is not affiliated with Pinterest or Instagram; those are research sources only.
